I just came across Polyglot Conspiracy and was reading this post about how Bush wants the anthem sung in English only. At least in this matter, I agree with him.

I don't know much about the US, but a national anthem is something that should be a sign of unity, therefore it's better if it's in one language. Take the example of Singapore. Hardly anyone (other than the minority Malays) speaks Malay, yet we always sang the anthem in Malay since it is the national language. Same goes for every other place I've lived in. There are a number of things that can signify a nation's diversity, but the national anthem shouldn't be one of them.
